At the upcoming OB Town Council meeting on Wednesday, July 27th, the board will announce the awards of their OB Community Grants program.

The board has selected local organizations, groups, and persons that promote the general betterment and beautification of Ocean Beach and the welfare of its residents.

The meeting is open to the public, of course, as the OBTC invites all to “Come learn more about these important community groups and initiatives and lend them our collective congratulations.”

There also will be a brief presentation from the Office of Councilmember Lorie Zapf on a new smart phone app called “Get It Done” that empowers communities to easily and efficiently report potholes, broken street lights, tripping hazards, graffiti, illegal dumping, code enforcement issues and much more.

Finally, the board will announce the timeline for upcoming OB Town Council Board of Directors elections.

And, as usual, the board will hear from a variety of representatives of politicians who represent OB in their respective jurisdictions, as well as reports from the City crews who make OB their “home” – the Lifeguards, Firefighters and SDPD.

The OBTC is also looking for candidates to apply to its board. (See accompanying article.)

As usual, the OBTC meets at 7:00pm at the Masonic Hall  – 1711 Sunset Cliffs Boulevard.

Here’s the official agenda of the OBTC:
