In the most recent OB Rag poll on marijuana usage of our readers, 55% responded that they smoked it occasionally and up to one-third of our readers smoke pot on a daily basis.
The poll ran for about one week and was open to any and all of our readers. One hundred readers responded during that period. The poll was not scientific – but it does give us a view of the marijuana smoking habits of our readers.
We asked readers how often they smoked pot. 31% of the gross total answered that they smoke it on a daily basis. (Of those who actually responded to the question, the percentage of daily smokers goes up to at least one out of 3 respondents.) Another 10% said they smoked weed at least once a week.
Other respondents said they smoked pot occasionally, for example – once a month – 6% ; every couple of months – 2%; twice a year – 3%, only at parties – 1%; other various smoking habits – 2%.
In contrast, 3% said they had tried it but didn’t like it. Ten per cent answered that they had never tried it.
Only 5% said they were totally against marijuana.
Another 5% said they didn’t care or were undecided.
And 8% use the question to espouse that they believed in the legalization of weed.
Two per cent used it to dump on Ocean Beach.

- I don’t smoke it myself, but I’m 100% for legalization. However, I think people should choose to vape instead of smoke. It’s much healthier for the user and for everyone else (I’m allergic to smoke — secondhand smoke [any kind] is awful for me but vaping removes that issue)! – 3% ( 3 votes )
