I haven’t been in OB since ’90 or so, but Saturday night on Newport Ave can get a little sketchie. Especially if you are a little looped and mouthing off.
Good thing that police trailer is at the foot of Newport……
OB Dude, Thank you!
Police trailer aka POLICE MONUMENT TO CORRUPTION.
The location of the trailer violates state law in regards to public beach parking and blocking PUBLIC views of the ocean from the street and Surf Check Alley
Police, Park & Rec. , city planning commission & city attorney decided to ignore a notice of violation issued by the California Coastal Commission and issued itself an illegal permit , corruption at it’s best.
Drugs sales , open container, living in vehicles ALL occur in front of the ” police ” trailer owned by Burt’s Rentals paid for by the O.B.M.A., the O.B.M.A pays $ 600 month to influence corrupt police and take parking spaces away from potential customers and visitors. why is this okay ?
Contact the state coastal commission , state representative and ask why ?
The answer is ” it provides a police presence “, very funny.

Yep, that police trailer is certainly a deterrent owing to the constant flow of officers going in and out.
On a positive note I did see an officer go in to the trailer a few months back. This was the first time I saw that and I’ve been paying attention to it for 9 years.
Is it just me?…. I’ve read & re-read that report…. transients & bar patrons, I got…. but I still don’t know of the 2 groups…. who stabbed who….
