OCEAN BEACH: There was a stabbing of a man walking with his girlfriend early Thursday morning in an alley north of the 4900 block of Saratoga Avenue in OB, according to local CBS8.  It took place reportedly around 2:30 a.m.

The 40 year old’s injuries to his abdomen were not life-threatening and he is recovering. The woman was not injured.

The stabbing suspect who ran off is described as a bearded transient who at the time was wearing a red Hawaiian shirt and shorts.

Before the attack, there were words between the two walking and the suspect. Other than that slim clue, no motive for the stabbing is known. Police are looking for a homeless man with a full beard wearing the clothes as described.

Now, two “transient” knife attacks in couple weeks. But defiantly not the outdoor Americans that are traveling and spreading good will in our alleys and public restrooms.

And might I add, joyously helping themselves to any private property from cars and resident’s yards, they feel entitled to take, rather than be burdened with earning a living. Pilfering from the hard-working taxpayers, elderly and/or disabled on fixed incomes, alike.

Oh, yes, it’s so wonderful being a homeless person, we can only imagine. Joy and merriment their plight for good. Whenever it rains, nature provides a shower, as does the ocean.

Isn’t it grand to cast out a wide net to capture all the unfortunate or intentional houseless when one of them, or two, lashes out at other humans.

So what – we just passed through the worst recession in 80 years, so what that our grand-daddy Ronnie Reagan released all those holding less than a full deck of cards years ago and nothing has been done since, so what is the east coast, the mid-west having one hell-ava winter which drives those without a roof west and south to the land of the free, where they can pluck our valuables away without sanction and with grace and joy. Our local gerdames totally ignore them, these vagabonds of leisure, and no young person has set any on fire, or doused them with flammable liquid while they slept, or slew them because they came to the defense of another, or beat them up because it’s clear no one else cares and they can get away with it, taking it out on the houseless.

This was right outside our bedroom window which was closed. I heard them arguing, but couldn’t make out what they were saying. It’s not uncommon to hear that in the valley and usually someone will yell from the apartments to shut up and it stops. Scary!

That is why, I and several of our friends have moved our families out of OB. Including our spending and contributions. We are not in favor of contributing to a community that condones such aggressive pan handlers and non-tax paying citizens.

I’m curious Will. Is it better where you live and might you be able to tell us where that is?

Where did you ever get the ridiculously stupid idea that the OB community “condones aggressive pan handlers and non-tax paying citizens?”

When I first moved to San Diego, I lived up the street from Wind n Sea beach in La Jolla. In the first six weeks I was there, I had hundreds of dollars worth of diving gear stolen, then my car was stolen and pulled from the surf, then it was stolen again but I caught them. I got stabbed twice for my effort but I got the car back. I sure as hell did not condemn all of La Jolla for what turned out to be a one man crime wave.

I hope you enjoy your new digs, OB doesn’t need such narrow minded residents anyway.

When a houseless person purchases an item, does he not pay sales tax? If he is scratched, does he not bleed?
