Organizing Meeting Monday, Nov. 10th at Dog Beach Dog Wash

The San Diego City Council approved the OB Community Plan Update on July 29th. And sometime during January 2015 it goes before the California Coastal Commission.

In the meantime, OB planning activists and supporters want to keep the issue of the Plan Update in front of the community, as the last hurtle has yet to be reached and the champagne cannot be uncorked yet and the best bud cannot be broken out yet.

So, in order to do just that – there’s a plan afoot to organize a “float” representing the OB Community Plan for the upcoming OB Holiday Parade in early December. Whatever it actually looks like, the idea is to have a sea of blue shirts in the parade, reminding the community that the Plan Update still is in its process of approval.

To this end, supporters are asked to attend a meeting this upcoming Monday, Nov. 10th, at 6pm at the Dog Beach Dog Wash, at 4933 Voltaire.

Bring your ideas, clean your “Keep the OBcean Attitude” shirts, get ready for some signs, some camaraderie and fun.

Thanks editordude for running this. We’ve got to get a hundred OBceans to wear their blue t-shirts in the parade. It’ll be cold, but they can wear it over their sweaters or longsleeves.
