Yesterday in Ocean Beach, November 5th, a poor dog stuck in the mud was rescued by a lifeguard on a surfboard.
All the mainstream media covered it. And here they are …
So, we don’t have to. And another thing …
Hey, why is there more coverage of this story than stories about the missing Pt Loma woman or the missing OB man?

…and once those missing people have been located and are safely back where they should be, can we broach the subject of dogs being east of Dog Beach in what is CLEARLY signed a Wildlife Preserve? The signs are where the responsible dog owner, leashes his or her dog and maintains control of them so that the birds (whether year-round or migratory) are free to live their lives and do their best to survive without constant threat of being chased and too often caught, injured and or killed by, “sweet little fluffy, who wouldn’t normally hurt a fly.” Don’t get me wrong, I am grateful for the lifeguard who saved the dog. The dog did what comes naturally. Owners need to “own up” to their responsibilities in that area adjacent to Dog Beach.
