Now, a new mystery: how did he get in the ocean?

This is what we posted on Nov. 6th:

Scott Bowles, 37, who lives in OB, was supposed to pick his daughter up in Julian on Friday, October 31st – Halloween – according to his Bowles’ father, but never showed. His last text message was from that afternoon.

Bowles’ car was found parked at his home and his cellphone was inside.  Someone had reported him missing, and police went looking. All his stuff was left. Police are now asking the public for help.

Bowles is white, 5 feet 11 inches tall, about 185 pounds, brown hair and gray eyes.  What he was wearing that day is unknown.

According to police, he does not have type of history of going missing or disappearing.  His father, John Bowles, who is still in Arkansas but is flying out here, told the press:

“You know, he’s missing, he’s a good guy and it’s out of the ordinary and we’re concerned.”

Bowles works in the Lakeside area.

maybe poor scott went for one last swim before heading up to julian. was he a surfer? a good swimmer? halloween last friday was overcast – what would have been the motivation to go for that swim? speculation, all, i know. is there evidence of foul play? was he found with street clothes on? so many questions. do you think the mainstream media is up for the challenge of discovering more about this unfortunate obcean?

I just checked the SD County coroner’s report on Scott, and the only new info was his middle name of Braswell and that he was divorced.
