Tarot measure potsBy Kelsey Lynore / The Tarot Nook

Each week, Kelsey throws a “What to do?” spread for each of the zodiac signs. The first card is shown and the other two… well, you’ll just have to infer them from the written forecasts. Mind the heads up and have a lovely week!

20JudgmentRams

Simmer down, Aries. You’re in a rush to start something new and believe yourself possessed by a fresh concept. But in chomping at the bit, you may be trying to run away from something which doesn’t feel so good, in lieu of running towards something which is truly promising. This is not to cast aspersions on your big idea, but please don’t bait and switch yourself. You’d do better to take a time out and really feel your emotions. Don’t run. Don’t even walk. Simply feel. This week, you need to acknowledge and transmute your own sadness. You’ll be reborn of it.

All that glitters isn’t gold, Taurus. And you need to exercise judgment as pertains to your passions. Although you may feel two callings this week, one is a waste of time — the result of too much bad TV and over-the-top adventure and/or romance stories — and the other is the next step in your development. So how do you identify which is which? The one you’ve heard less about, the one that is most unique to you, that’s where you need to invest yourself. Or to put this another way: Which calling stands to be the most transformative for you? Pursue that one, and only that one.

It’s time to cut the cord, Gemini. And you are terrified! Look, I know you’ve got this snug little role as the silent, ever-loving supporter of another, but it looks to me as if you’re merely serving as an enabler. Ask yourself — Is your stability healthy? Does it make you and this other person the best that you can both be? Or are you merely afraid to leave for fear of what lies on the other side of yourself? Your circumstance can’t continue. Indeed, it’s already over. It’s time to take “the dangerous pathway thru the mountain range to get to the other side of [your] soul,” to quote Karen Finley. You’re all out of options. You can’t play silent supporter any longer. It’s high time to go through that fear.

9TheHermitCrabs

Take some alone time this week, Cancer. Your task is to hang back and refuse to rush. The problem is that your focus on one aspect of your circumstance is occluding your vision. You stand on the brink of a new era and the decisions that you make now will have a huge impact on how this era unfolds. You think you have only one option, but you have several. So, see if you can look at no “thing” in lieu of looking at one “thing” so that you might see the plethora of “things” laid out before you. You will make a choice. But not this week! Hang back, play the middle, and refuse to choose.

KnightofWandsLions

In a rush to make money, Leo? Looking to work hard and see those benefits accrue all lickity-split? Well, cool your jets for just one tick, please. Drop your tools. Quit your big designs. Expend no effort on production. Someone in your environment is an expert in your new found field. You need to identify who and then build a relationship with that person. They can save you blood, sweat, tears, and time. But you must first realize that you’re out of your own element and therefore a neophyte. This week, seek the guidance of a master.

KnightofCupsVirgins

Start no creative project this week, Virgo. Your circumstance is far too unstable to be placing bets or investing time just yet. Indeed, you’re being transported to a new realm, to learn new lessons, in a way not at all dissimilar from Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz. Remember all those new characters that she met? And how much they changed her view of her past and her self? That’s you. So be cognizant of the influence of others, as you are in no way alone in this. Indeed, you are intimately, if not financially, connected to others. The more open you can be to that this week, the better.

6ofSwordsScales

You’re drifting this week, Libra. You’re not leaving. So don’t get too strident and start forcing what is already happening organically. And what’s happening, to be clear, is moment to moment evolution and travel — what Derrida called différance — the distantiation of self and its unfolding over time. Respect the interval! You have no aim, it’s true. But that doesn’t mean that you’re quitting anything. So don’t make a power grab of it or try to master your drift by leaving for good. You don’t know enough yet. Instead, take this interval to connect with like minded people in love and celebration. Stay open!

7ofPentaclesScorpions

If you’ve read the other signs, you’ll have noted that I’m counseling many to take a beat and suspend action (though not all). This week, the same goes for you, too. Make no hasty move and let no new information spark a conflagration. You stand on the edge of a precipice, Scorpio. And that’s exciting! Take a moment to savor that thrill, that promise, and allow for your own hesitation. Take stock of your many relationships and honor them. Take time out to nourish the people you love most. They’re your stability as you prepare to stride forward. So make sure that they know how much you value them this week and enjoy that precipice. You’ll move forward in a week or two. For now, simply enjoy.

2ofWandsSatyrs

Don’t allow yourself to be hemmed in this week, Sadge. Don’t let anyone tell you what you can or cannot do. They don’t have a clue. Listen to the following song by Elliott Smith. Although your circumstance isn’t “sad,” I want you to feel fully entitled to get pissed if anyone tries to tell you what happened to them when they attempted your current endeavors. Sure, they probably mean well, but they don’t really know what they mean. And most importantly, you aren’t them! So smile sweetly and tell them to can it. Then, throw yourself into your project with all the diligence and dedication of a Kung fu pupil. You know what you need to be doing. And you will succeed. Trust yourself!

0TheFoolSea-Goats

You’re starting fresh, Capricorn. You’re not starting fragile. Your accumulated experience will stand you in good stead, and you can trust it. So don’t play vulnerable, because this really isn’t your first time at the rodeo. You’ve started fresh before, right? Let your past successes and capacity for transformation empower on this new road ahead. For while you may be looking at the world through the eyes of a child, you have the resources of an experienced sage. There couldn’t be a lovelier or more promising combo! So know that you can literally make of this whatever you like… and be glad of it.

8ofCupsWater-Bearers

Are you going away with no words of farewell? Will there be not a trace left behind? Good on you if you are, Aquarius. You shouldn’t be the last thing on someone’s mind. With that said, I want you to understand that the sentiment of the above John Denver song, its sadness and alienation, will most probably be felt on both sides. Meaning: You’re going to be maudlin, too. And that’s OK. That happens. Honor your feelings both in quitting an untenable circumstance, and in feeling alone on that path. With time, it will pass on, as will you. So chin up, albeit in a hang-dog sort of way. You’re a strong one, and the company you’ve been keeping really doesn’t deserve you. It’s OK to be alone sometimes.

PageofPentaclesFishes

You know more than you think, Pisces. Your competences are multifarious and vast, so there’s no need to start a new line of inquiry or even a new creative project this week. Rather, cull from the vast knowledge base and emotional network that you have already built up. Finish what you started. You have enough to accomplish your aims as long as you’re certain that those aims are tried and true and not a flash in the pan. By the end of the week you should be sitting pretty and feeling proud. Trust what you know and don’t change tack. To invest in your pre-existing competences is to invest in you!
