The group that organized in Ocean Beach after a series of sexual assaults against local women is having their monthly meeting tonight at the OB Woman’s Club.

The meeting of the OB Crime Watch Citizens Patrol will be at 7pm at 2160 Bacon Street.  They’re asking the community to join them and discuss and share ideas to help keep OB safe.

The meeting is open to all. Organizers are asking attendees to bring a non-perishable food item to donate to the Loaves and Fishes program.  The plan is to discuss fundraising ideas, how to get local businesses involved, getting volunteers for crime watches etc.

As a community service project, the OB Woman’s Club will be providing their community room for monthly meetings.

This meeting tonight is the first of a series of meetings that will be held on the 2nd Monday of every month, from 7-8 p.m. at 2160 Bacon St.  The first such meeting was back on October 3, 2012 at the Woman’s Club.

I have received the agenda and minutes of the meeting, and will be assigning an ace reporter to write something up based on those documents.
