Overturning Citizens United: Money Out of Politics

From PL Democratic Club

Join the Point Loma Democratic Club on Sunday, March 24, when the Wonder Women from WOSD Money Out of Politics, Point Loma’s own Pam Page and Dianne Lane, return to and describe how they convinced the San Diego City Council to pass – with an unanimous vote – the resolution to reverse ‘Citizens United’ and Amend the Constitution.

The PL Club was their very first endorsement, at the April 22, 2012 meeting. Their campaign to support a constitutional amendment, which would overturn the Supreme Court’s Citizens United decision and declare that corporations are not people, and money is not free speech, is a inspiring story of how grassroots activism can be effective, and should serve as a guideline for future activists.

 The meeting is at
the Point Loma Assembly
3035 Talbot Street, San Diego, CA 92106

4pm-5.30pm
