OB Planning Board Election Results to Be Announced Tonight
We have been waiting for the election results from Tuesday’s Planning Board balloting. We have heard that a press release will be released tonight. As the Board allowed for mail and email voting this year for the first time, they are just making sure they have all of the ballots back.
OB Rag T-shirt Design Contest to End on the Ides of March – Friday
Just a reminder that our OB Rag T-shirt design contest officially ends tomorrow, Friday, March 15th – the Ides of March. We have a score of design entries already but we are willing to check out anything new that reaches us by the deadline, either email (obragblog@gmail.com) or snail mail (OB Rag, PO Box 7012, OB 92167) or by carrier pigeon. We have a panel of judges waiting to make their decisions. There are prizes for the selected entries. For more info, go here.
The winning design must include parts of, or all of, or a representation of our current OB Rag banner, shown at the top of the home page and every page of our website. Big time awards for the winners!$50 – or 6 T-shirts – is the award for the winning design;Second place receives $25 – or 3 T-shirts, andThird place gets a free T-shirt, with fourth and fifth places receive Honorable Mentions and half off on any T-shirt.
OB Rag Office to Open at the Green Store
The OB Rag will soon have a functioning office located inside the Green Store at 4843 B Voltaire Street. We’ll be using it for interviews, phone work, and will have access to WiFi. We also need some throw rugs and posters for our space. And sometime probably in April, we’ll have an Open House and invite everyone. So, stay tuned.
Weekly Polls on the OB Rag
If you have missed our weekly polls, join the club – I miss them too. But the widget that allowed us to post them is now so outdated that it doesn’t mesh with with our current WordPress. But Patty at our Tech Desk has assured me that we will soon have a new one. Any ideas for future polls? Send ’em in.

I was hoping for a press release from the OB Planning Board about the results of Tuesday’s election, but as of 7 am Friday morning have not heard anything.
