 Christmas Tree Arrival – Tuesday, Nov. 27

 On the morning of November 27th, come on down to the end of Newport Avenue (at Abbott) to watch the delivery and placement of the massive Christmas Tree.

Christmas Tree Decoration – with Santa, Wed, Nov. 28

 Santa will be in OB the morning of November 28, 2012 to help local OB kids decorate the Christmas Tree at the foot of Newport Avenue (at Abbott).

 2012 Auction to Benefit Annual Food and Toy Drive – Thursday night, Nov. 29 at the Sunshine Co.

 The annual auction to benefit the OB Town Council Holiday Food and Toy drive will be taking place on November 29, 2012 at 6:00 pm at Sunshine Company – 5028 Newport Avenue – San Diego, CA – 92107. Don’t miss your chance to bid on and win awesome prizes from local businesses and sports teams!

 Santa visits OB Every Saturday in December

 Every Saturday in December, Santa will come to OB to visit with local kids and find out who has been naughty or nice! Kids of all ages (and adults too) are invited to the end of Newport Avenue (at Abbott) to sit on Santa’s lap and tell him what they want this holiday season!

  OB Christmas ParadeDecember 1st:   down Newport Ave. at 5:05 pm

For over 30 years, our quaint little surfing village of Ocean Beach, or OB to those in the know, has hosted one of the best Christmas Parades in SoCal. Starting around 5:05 pm on Saturday, December 1st, Newport Avenue is lined with colorful OBceans and visitors all eagerly awaiting the awe-inspiring big event. For some, it’s the excitement of seeing the local yoga studio performing rubber band like moves as they make their way down the street or the roller derby girls in their eye-catching costumes.

OB Tree Committee’s Craft Fairs  December 1, 8, 15, & 22nd – 9am to 4pm

OB Restaurant WEEK  – December 3 through 7 –  –

No tickets required. Just visit your favorite restaurants in OB for a terrific deal. Check out the website OBRestaurantWeek.com for participating restaurants.

 OBMA Mixer is Thursday, Dec. 6th from 5:30 to 7:30pm at Electric Ladyland, 4944 Newport Ave. and hosted by Electric Ladyland. Open to all members of OBMA and their employees.

We are still looking for volunteers for the parade on Saturday. Volunteers need to check in at the OB Rec Center at 2pm to get their assignment and t-shirt. Here’s the link to the volunteer application: http://obtowncouncil.org/holiday-parade-volunteer-application
