The 52nd Congressional District campaign is coming to Ocean Beach Wednesday night – the 24th of October.
The OB Town Council is hosting a debate between Brian Bilbray and Scott Peters, the two candidates squaring off in the District that includes Ocean Beach. (It may not be an actual debate as the candidates will field questions from the Board and the audience.)
It will be held at 7:00pm this Wednesday, October, 24, 2012 at the Masonic Center -1711 Sunset Cliffs Blvd.
Each candidate will be given up to five minutes to address the public forum with an overview of their candidacy, followed by questions and answers with the Board, and the audience. Due to the nature of our meetings, nearly everyone should get a chance to ask their question and receive a personalized answer.
Here is the OBTC agenda for the evening.

Although I have not found the item listed in the publicly posted agenda I believe the options for the new OB entryway sign have been narrowed down and there will be an opportunity for public input (and potentially a vote for paying members) at this meeting.
Can’t support either dude or the OBTC!
As for the OBTC, membership to any OB resident should be free. Why should people have to pay to vote? The OBTC can pass the hat if they need the dough!
So will Dave Martin make some needed changes in the way this council conducts itself or will it continue to be an arm of the OBMA?
