The old building was not up to earthquake standards. The only ventilation was opening the windows, which caused us to waste time when the loud jets flew over. But we had some truly great teachers who inspired us as students. For me, they included Mr. Courts and Mrs. Young, who taught me the math that I used every day of my career. Also Mr. McManus, who let me work on my own projects in Electric Shop. Thank you all.
Ran across this page while surfing the internets. Mr. McManus was a hero of mine and let me loose with all the military surplus gear that trickled in. Thanks for reminding me about him. I knew every inch of the school theater, something that inspired my career.
