UPDATE:  NBC San Diego has additional information:

An Ocean Beach woman is searching for her fiancé, a man who abruptly walked off his graveyard shift at a local shipyard and hasn’t been seen since.

Rose Ramirez last saw her fiancé Logan Angus Sunday night.

His employers at General Dynamics said he showed up to work at the NASSCO Shipyard Monday but left in the middle of his shift Tuesday.

The 31-year-old has not been in contact with family or friends.

Ramirez filed a missing person report with San Diego police saying Angus has been treated in the past for depression.

“We’re worried he may have hurt himself,” Ramirez said.

On Monday, he withdrew $40 from an ATM and spent some of that on cards, envelopes and stamps.

He left his car parked in front of the couple’s home on Mentone Street with the keys inside police said.

Ramirez and some friends passed flyers out near the area where Angus’ cell phone was last used near Groton Street and Barnard in West Point Loma along with the OB Farmer’s Market.

She said he likes to hang out by the San Diego River trail near the ocean. He also loves their three dogs and walks them every day.

Angus was attending Mira Mesa College to study aviation and maintenance. He had just started the class in January and left his books behind according to Ramirez.

Even though the couple fought Sunday evening, Ramirez didn’t think it was anything unusual. She said Angus had bought her a ring on Jan. 10. Their anniversary is coming up on Feb. 6 and up until Sunday, their wedding plans were on track. They had been looking at venues and were ready to make appointments to go and see some of the sites.

Angus doesn’t have any family in the area. His nearest family is in Eureka, Calif. Ramirez said.

I met Logan about five years ago, when we attended classes for entry into the Catholic Church. Of all the people I have met in my life, he is one of the few who I would describe as having a truly “gentle soul.”

I know he will be in my prayers, and I hope the rest of the community will think and pray for his safe return.

Peace, Jack
