Last chance to help grocery workers avoid a strike

This weekend is our last chance to help our local grocery workers get a fair contract before they face the frightening turmoil of a strike. Join us at 9 a.m. tomorrow in front of the Ralphs store in Hillcrest to let the supermarkets know their customers will support the workers.

 Rally to Protect Grocery Workers!

9 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 17

Ralphs in Hillcrest

1030 University Ave, San Diego 92103

UFCW, the union representing 62,000 grocery workers in Southern California will continue negotiating with Ralph’s, Vons and Albertsons until Sunday night, trying to get a contract that maintains workers’ healthcare benefits.

Please help us tell these Fortune 500 companies that we stand with the grocery workers to support the right of all middle-class working people to decent jobs with health benefits.

Besides attending the rally, talk to the managers of your local Ralphs, Vons and Albertsons today or tomorrow. Just ask for the manager at any store and tell them you won’t cross a picket line. They will pass the message on and it can help to avoid this strike!

If there is a strike, find a union store for your shopping by visiting unionyes.org/stores .
