ComicCon, like the Burning Man festival or a Nico’s beans-cheese-y-papas burrito, must be experienced to be fully appreciated. But at The OB Rag, we believe that vicarious enjoyment is important, too. So here are some pics from Thursday, the first day of a full weekend of ComicCon fun.

but when day 1 ends, it will leave you wanting more...

The story behind the story here is… did Shane use the OB Rag to get media credentials (and free passes) to Comic-Con for him and a friend?

Thank you for pointing out the OB link – I had no idea before, but I agree that the history is definitely sweet.
I wonder if there are any “Woodchucks” who still live in the OB area or not too far away?
Shane, thanks for sharing your experience at Comic Con. I’ve never been. Went to go years ago, but decided we didn’t want to deal with the crowd. Going to check directory at OB Historical Society archives to find out where Alert books was. I knew Shel Dorf, wishing now I would have interviewed him. Hope to see you in the water soon.
