Some time ago our own Sunshine wrote about her experience participating in the Point-in-Time-Count where she met Ricky and Darcie. Ricky and Darcie are going to have a baby real soon and need a little help. Sunshine is throwing them a baby shower this afternoon and wants to invite our readers to attend. Sunshine says,
Darcie’s baby (sex to be determined at birth) is due on Aug 8th. Please RSVP (through facebook) soon. Feel free to invite others who would enjoy sharing some baby/mama items to my lovely friend Darcie.
Currently she has 1 onesie. Her wish list would include: baby clothes (warm/cool), disposable diapers!, bottles, formula, burp cloths, baby hygiene products, baby bathtub, pacifiers, stroller, car seat (combo stroller/car seat would be ideal), baby blankets, and anything else you would want your own newborn baby to have!

Darcie and Ricky have a small place and don’t have a lot of room to store lots of things, so keeping items limited to the list above or essentials for a newborn would be appreciated! I’ll spring for a case of disposable diapers. E-mail me on how. Since I’m so far away, someone on the beach will have to make the run for me. Thanks for letting me help. When my son was born in ’71 I was working at the Inbetween. When our son was due all the staff gave us a shower. The best thing was diapers. The only problem for us was we were so poor we couldn’t afford to get them after we ran out. And once you get used to disposables washing shitty diapers is a real drag.Can you even buy cloth diapers?
