Despite a budget surplus, the County of San Diego proposes to cut pay between 7 and 17 percent, for thousands of the lowest paid workers. This would harm not only their families, but the reduced buying power would ripple through the whole community. Our elected officials are NOT supposed to be in the business of REDUCING our community’s standard of living!

This is part of the nation-wide right-wing attack on unions and is not about the money. It is about undermining democracy and shifting more power to the corporations and to Wall Street.

We need to see a large turn-out, to show our determination to defeat all of these attacks on workers and on everyone’s democratic rights.

Justice for Working Families Rally

San Diego County’s lowest paid workers are currently fighting to negotiate a fair contract. Join hundreds of workers on Saturday, as they gather at the County Administration Center to take a stand for these working families.
