The 17th annual “OB Exposed” is coming up real soon, in fact, on Friday, May 13th.  The deadline to submit to this yearly OB Historical Society photo contest is coming up even faster – May 10th.  So get your cameras ready! Aim! Shoot!

The annual event is a one-of-its-kind, and it will be held up at the Masonic Hall, 1711 Sunset Cliffs Blvd.  The contest is open to all photographic levels and ages.  They accept old photos, new, color, black and white – as long as they were taken in OB or Point Loma.

Below is a link to the Historical Society’s website or you can simply print out the below form.

As a side note, we at the OB Rag have been trying to have the contest include a special category of “OB Pier” photos – because so many are taken of our iconic structure – that it just seems like our famous pier needs it own.

This is always a great event. We certainly have a lot of talented local photogs, and beautiful scenery for them to work with. I highly suggest showing up at this event if you will be nearby.

I submitted photos of the OB People’s Peace Treaty guerrilla theater skit on Collier Park Day 1971, and OB’s first environmental fair in the parking lot next to Pete’s Pizza in late summer 1970. Plus a pic of me skate boarding in 1960. Wish I could be there–I had to go back to 420-land–Humboldt Co.

Thanks Pat, you beat me to it. This is a worth a trip to the Masonic Center at Sunset Cliffs Boulevard and Santa Cruz. Also, while there, go upstairs to see the lushiness of the center.
