Help Sought In Hit And Run In South Ocean Beach

in Ocean Beach

Between 6:00 and 9:00 p.m., April 5th, a white Nissan Sentra parked on the 4900 block of Coronado Avenue suffered considerable front-end damage from a hit-and-run driver, possibly attempting to parallel park blocking a driveway on the south side of the street near Cable.

Pieces of the struck car, including broken headlight lenses and portions of the front bumper, were removed from the scene prior to the vehicle owner’s discovery of the damages. Grey or black paint were left rubbed off on the damaged car. Anyone who could assist Dave in figuring out who destroyed his sister’s car and tried to cover it up would earn his considerable gratitude, though he must admit his funds are so limited he can’t offer a cash incentive. You can contact Dave either through the comment section below or by emailing the OB Rag : obragblog@gmail.com  .

Thanks OB Rag for allowing these type of posts. I hope it will bring some news to Dave.

Was there any evidence of paint from the hit and run car? Just a suggestion, canvas the neighborhood and look at all the cars for damage and similar paint. It’s probably someone that lives in the area.

Sorry for your loss :-(

We’ve got a real good idea of who’s responsible, and like I said there was grey or black paint left rubbed off on the damaged car. Got the estimate back from the body shop today – $1500! We have a police report filed and will be watching to see if the vehicle we think caused the accident (one that’s regularly parked right next to where the hit-and-run occurred) shows up in the neighborhood over the next few weeks with damage or evidence of fresh repairs…

Thanks for looking at this post, Debbie! Would love to hear from you or anyone else that might be able to help us nail the person responsible…
