“Help Homeless People Count”

Everyone is invited to the training meeting this evening in anticipation of the January 28th San Diego homeless count. The details are:

Date: Tonight, Friday, January 21

Time: 5:30pm – 7:00pm

Place: Point Loma United Methodist Church at 1984 Sunset Cliffs Blvd., Ocean Beach

Participants in the 2011 Point In Time Count (PITC) are desperately needed. By helping to count homeless people, we are helping to justify much-needed funding for local social service agencies which directly help people in need.

Please join in. It’s a wonderful way to help homeless people count.

Is there a sign making forum? “WILL WORK FOR FOOD”….actually, no, they won’t.

“WHY LIE- I NEED A HIT OF CRACK/A BEER/ NUGS FOR THE NUGLESS” Points for honesty!

“NEED MONEY FOR GAS TO LEAVE YOUR TOWN” That’s what they said last month.

And for the record. OB takes wonderful care of our homeless. Chessmaster Bubba, Guitar Phil, and John Baker are three guys who are well cared for. The community quietly rallies behind these guys.

The shitheads with the dog/backpack and wide ass that occupies Newport Ave with hand outstretched are those who give the truly homeless a bad name.

As one who is self-employed and 100% self-sufficient, I can’t feel bad for an able-bodied person standing on a freeway on-ramp smoking a cig, walking with a stride of purpose to collect the pennies given by those who will support (nee’ hasten their demise) these types.

Our geography puts Sarah and I in constant contact with these types who want nothing more than a quick fix. Because I had a sister like that (who later died, I blame the shallow kindness of strangers) these types are exposed and outed with extreme prejudice.

Keep giving them money. You’re only killing them faster, and with kindness. Might as well give them a gun.

Wow… there are a lot of shithead housed people too and I hope you don’t think they give all us people living indoors a bad name…

Give them a gun? If I give them a quarter at least I know that they’re not going to kill you with it.
