UPGRADES COMPLETE!

Loyal Readers and Ragsters, web_maint

Since I am now officially UNEMPLOYED (bleh) I finally have time to do the maintenance and upgrades to the back end of this website. I will be working on the site over the weekend when, typically, our readership is lower and there are fewer comments. I will start tomorrow morning.

If things go smoothly you won’t notice a thing. If you happen to click on over here and things look wonky they should be back to normal if you check back a little later.

I will post an update when the upgrade is complete and then would welcome any feedback you might offer regarding how things look in whatever flavor of web browser you may be using, Firefox, Opera, Chrome, Internet Explorer (ew!) or… If things look strange in your browser after the upgrade is finished please let me know!

Thanks,

Patty

Welcome to Club Bleh! Hope your stay is enjoyable but short, and I can’t wait to see what changes you’ve got in store for the site…

Thanks Dave! For sure, hopefully short!

First to upgrade the back end then some changes will be coming to the front end, nothing drastic. The upgrades should make some of those changes easier. I’m all for easy!

Hello Patty,
As a member of Club Bleh and someone who has experience with Wordpress, give me a call if I can help. My best to you and Frank.

Mike, it’s good to hear from you! Yeah, Club Bleh… talk about a big tent party!

I don’t anticipate any problems, but am prepared in any case, and thanks for the offer. I will definitely take you up on that if the need arises.

Hey Mike, good to hear from you. The James Bros will be the subject of an upcoming post – will give you a call.

Oh no! Is it an expose? Did somebody find the skeletons in our closet? I have witnesses that will say I was in Mexico at the time. Do I need a lawyer…Frank aren’t you a lawyer?

I might be weird, but the ‘recent chatter’ column is running into (and under) the ad column…I’m on Chrome, not sure how to determine my resolution. Everything else looks great!

I use a Mac and it looks good on Firefox, but I have the same problem that Dave has when I view it in Safari.

That has happened before, usually when someone puts a URL in a comment. The URL is usually too long to break into another line and causes that to happen. You both posted your comments hours ago and I didn’t see them.

Brian posted a URL link in his comment above and that may have caused it but it has dropped off the recent chatter by now so it probably looks okay. This has been an issue for a while and outside of editing the comment and hiding the URL a link I haven’t figured out how to resolve this.

I don’t really see much difference . . . everything looks as good as ever . . . I’ll look forward to seeing the new features . . . but what I REALLY like is the new OB Rag T-shirt ad picture . . . what a nhandsome pair!!!!

. . . and Patty I hope your Club Bleh period is short AND enjoyable AND productive!!
