1 Out of 9 Americans On Food Stamps
WASHINGTON (Reuters) – One in nine Americans are using federal food stamps to help buy groceries as the country’s deep recession forced another 591,000 people onto the federal anti-hunger program at latest count.

Unemployment Rate Hits 9.4%
WASHINGTON (Reuters) – U.S. employers cut 345,000 jobs last month, the fewest since September and far less than forecast, according to a government report on Friday that was the most definitive evidence the economy’s severe weakness was diminishing.
However, the Labor Department said the unemployment rate raced to 9.4 percent, the highest since a matching rate in July 1983, from 8.9 percent in April. This reading beat the peak in the jobless rate during the 1973-1975 recession that lasted 16 months. For the remainder of this article, go here.

How amazing that all these problems are the fault of the new President. Not one even small cause can be attached to the previous play president.
Did you know that San Diego has the worst record of any urban city for giving food stamps to the needy in our county? The local San Diego County Soc. Services office is the only one to require home visits before they award any food stamps. As a result, only 3 of the estimated 10 families who would qualify receive these benefits.
