My good buddy has the Brain Police LP, they were getting huge opening for just about every national act that came through here.

Dave – was there any connection between the Brain Police and the Mothers of Invention and Frank Zappa?
no connection at all… I knew both parties…
There could have been Frank, but they peaked around 1968. They opened a bunch of shows at the Community Concourse for acts like the Strawberry Alarm Clock, the Byrds, Steppenwolf and Eric Burden & the (new) Animals.
