Protesters outside the Loussac Library in midtown Anchorage, AK

In what the AKMuckracker from the Mudflats blog called “the biggest political rally ever, in the history of the state,” citizens took to the streets in Anchorage Alaska to show how they feel about Sarah Palin, her politics and to dispel any notion that she speaks for the majority of hockey moms in that state. Or the majority of moms in any state for that matter.

Alaska mommas for Obama hit the streets in Anchorage The citizens of Alaska, who know her best, have things to say.

With her glib appeals as America’s latest “everywoman,” Palin says she hopes “to break a glass ceiling once and for all.” My fear is that what she breaks may come crashing down on the heads of every woman in the nation.

Thanks AKMuckracker for covering this event and helping to remind us what can be accomplished by a small group of women, talking over coffee!

My hat’s off to the women of Alaska!
