OCEAN BEACH, CA. The OB Historical Society will be presenting a slide show of historical photographs and stories of local surfers and friends, on Thurs. July 17, 2008, 7 p.m, at 1984 Sunset Cliffs Blvd, at the Methodist Church. Local surfer, artist and author Cher Pendarvis will be presenting the slide show. Cher will touch on the earliest days of surfing in Ocean Beach. Then her presentation will cover local surfing from the 1930s to the1960s.A big Mahalo to special guests Bud Caldwell, Mouse Robb, and Marsh Malcom and friends from the original “Sunset Surfers”, who will tell their tales and share their wonderful historic photographs in the slide show.
