Tibetan Buddhist monks have been leading protests over the last couple of days, calling for independence for Tibet and protesting Chinese occupation of their land. Hundreds of monks protested Thursday, March 13th, while today, March 14th, residents took to the streets, setting shops and cars on fire. Reports have come in that Chinese military responded with live bullets and tear gas, and that the clashes have resulted in at least two deaths thus far.
