San Diego students, teachers, parents and others protested on Feb. 12, 2008, at the city school board meeting. They asked the school board to have a full hearing on their proposal to:

  2. Stop the involuntary placement of students in military science classes.
  3. Require that students and parents be told that military science is not a college-prep course and does not count toward college admissions.
