Sonic weapons used in Iraq brought to recent San Diego town hall meetings

San Diego) – “Long-range acoustic devices [LRADs] for crowd control can be extremely dangerous. These are used in Iraq to control insurgents. They can cause serious and lasting harm to humans…We want to know WHY our Sheriff Dept has this weapon,” Sal Magallanez of San Diego-based Liberty One Radio said in an e-mail sent to East County Magazine, prompting a joint investigation.

Rep Darrel Issa to Hold Town Hall Meeting in Vista Tonight – Will the Gun-Toters Appear?

Local Congressman Darrel Issa appears to be trying to capture the right-wing momentum sputtering here and there at town hall meetings across the nation. He all of a sudden announced that he, too, is holding a health care reform town hall meeting – this one is tonight in Vista.

- No, not at all. We survived all the hassles associated with the actual filming, and we'll survive the success of the show, as we suvived the success of Hodad's.
- Of course it will. All the neophites will want to now move to OB, rents will go up, it will get more crowded.
- It's a toss-up. There will be good things from the show, and there will be bad things.
- OB is too tough to change. They wanted to film it in OB because of OB's funkiness, and the funkiness will remain.
- The show is/was not that good. So the show itself will not be a success.
- I think the girl whose landlord wanted to charge her for getting burglarized has the same manager as my complex.
