The water leak around Orchard and Froude that we reported on last week, has been fixed by the City.
Local residents are happy about the speedy attention the leak received – once it was published here, in the OB Rag.
City crews came out on Friday, June 5th to make the repairs. The 8 inch water line’s sleeve was broken and leaking – it was fixed and cleaned up by 4 30 that day.
This is also what social media, like a blog, can do.
Please, if you see a leak or some other problem around the neighborhood, take a photo and send it to us – obragblog@gmail.com

Sorry, it was not only the Rag, but the tireless efforts of Julie Klein that got this fixed. She lives right there and talked to several city people. I’m just giving props to a tireless civic leader in OB and giving credit where credit is due, which I’m pretty sure you didn’t know.
Not true at all. The photos are from Julie – and she came to the Rag after getting no where with the city. It’s all good.
Yay! My bad!!
Not to mention those of us who called the City, and Zapf’s office and wrote to the Rag… great neighborhood effort!
Thanks Editor Dude!
