OB biking gretnewThe Ocean Beach Town Council is hosting what they hope will be a community dialogue on bike advocacy and planning and they are presenting a panel of experts to kick start this dialogue this Wednesday, Feb. 26th, at the Masonic Center.

The meeting of the Town Council starts  at 7:00pm and the Masonic Center located at 1711 Sunset Cliffs Boulevard.

Tackling a range of regional and local bicycle issues, the panel of experts includes:

  •  Andy Hanshaw, Executive Director, San Diego County Bicycle Coalition
  • Chris Kluth, Active Transportation Manager, SANDAG
  • Sam Olinger, Executive Director, BikeSD
  • Ed Clancy, The Bike Guy SD
  • Nicole Burgess, OB Bike Advocate

The OBTC wants people to know that they host public meetings on the 4th Wednesday every month, and regular speakers include local leaders, political, business and law enforcement representatives, as well as members from all corners of the Ocean Beach community.

Gretchen Newsom, the new president of the council is inviting everyone to stay after the meeting to have “Pie with the President” – it’s her birthday and she loves pie! (Have you ever tried a slice of ‘shoo fly’ pie?)

Whether you’re a long-time OB-cean or just want to learn more about OB, all are welcome!

You must please RSVP on Facebook (so they know how much pie to bake!)
