Cartoon by Neal Obermeyer in the San Diego Reader, 12/4/13.

On the online San Diego Reader, there is a cartoon by Neal Obermeyer that refers to the OB felony shrub trimmer and takes a swing at District Attorney Bonnie Dumanis at her office’s prosecution of Vince Adame – charged with felony vandalism for trimming city-owned hedges, and then who had them dismissed this week.

It also takes a swing at City Attorney Jan Goldsmith as well for his “Failed SDCERS Shakedown”.

It shows both Dumanis – who is running for another term as DA – and Goldsmith sitting by the fire throwing money into the flames.  Dumanis is shown holding a large brown bag with “Felony Shrub Trimming Charges” written on it.

Over the graphic are the words: “Remember to keep warm in these wintry chilly months!”

Don’t really get why the Dirty D.A. would be throwing perfectly dirty bribe money in a fire when she will need every last red cent to fight off her D.A.challengers in 2014?

Who called the police ? The maintenance man Antonio Amador and Mitchell Ramsey from MSSR Property Management started this whole problem by claiming personal property was vandalized, knowing very well it’s city property. They notified the owner Forrest Colburn in New York, he came to San Diego and told police he wanted to press charges.
PUBLIC RECORD : Forrest Colburn and MSSR were notified RECENTLY , prior to this incident, by code enforcement of illegal construction on city property for building a retaining wall on the south end of the property on a coastal bluff and installing an illegal sewer line were the bushes were trimmed a couple months prior. Colburn and MSSR lost a law suite for $ 1,500 against Vince Adame, so they manipulated police into filing charges. Civil law suite is coming soon for these morons, no brainer this had malicious intent on the part of Forrest Colburn & Mitch Ramsey of MSSR.

***The retaining wall and illegal sewer lines still remain on public property today. Approved by code enforcement *** look for yourself.

Detective Moody, Detective Anderson and Sgt. Rowe from SDPD Western should also be held responsible and liable for manipulating the facts in regards to damage, are we really to believe these two experienced detectives and sergeant didn’t know or were never told ” bushes grow back ” ? These scumbags recommended charges be filed without having justified damage of even $ 1.00.
The City Attorney and DA decided to play along until the media caught wind.
A few people called in some favors and this is the result, another law suite for the city.

Ahh…..now it’s starting to make some sense!

Plus the issue of the “unpermitted police trailer” adds fuel to the fire. Why in the world is that thing still there sitting in a middle of the parking lot … taking up parking spaces and blighting the area?

On the trailer, the Ocean Beach Mainstreet Ass. and their puppets at the Ocean Beach Planning Board voted 10-1 to take parking away from local residents and visitors that bring in money to local merchants, complete morons !
The city planning department claims the spaces taken by the trailer are not required parking, so they can do whatever they please with our parking lot.
The California Coastal Commission disagrees and issued a notice of violation to SDPS & park & rec. for taking beach parking and blocking public views of the ocean from various locations in violation of the California Coastal Act .
Violation # v-6-11-007 dated July 25,2012
Yesterday the city and SDPD flipped the bird at the coastal commission and issued a permit for the trailer to remain at least five years blocking views and taking valuable parking spaces. I have ten days to pay fees and appeal the decision.
