It has been confirmed that both of San Diego’s mayoral candidates will be at the debate being hosted by the OB Town Council this Wednesday – the 22nd of August.  Both Congressman Bob Filner and Councilman Carl DeMaio have declared they will be present at the public forum during the meeting of the OBTC.  It will be at 7 pm and held in the Masonic Center, 1711 Sunset Cliffs Boulevard.

Each candidate will be given up to five minutes to address us with an overview of their candidacy, followed by questions and answers from the Town Council Board and the audience.  The OBTC anticipates that nearly everyone should get a chance to ask their question and receive a personalized answer.

The Town Council calls for attendance:

“Please tell your friends and family and get yourself to our meeting for the chance to speak directly to our mayoral candidates! This is the best way to get quality time with the two potential people who will be representing you and all OBceans! Come down and learn (from the source) what they will do to help Ocean Beach!”

OB J – be fair, play fair – we can win with our persuasions. Filner is debating DeMaio.

It would be nice to have the candidates deal with the subject : What, if any, are the benefits of public employees being able to unionize?

Beware of Carl’s staffers. He always loads the audience with his minions.

Well, then, it behooves us to get our butts down to the Masonic lodge tonight to confront his minions!
