Bacon Street between Niagara and Narragansett Avenues.
The OB Rag has been contacted by friends of an OB man who was violently assaulted on Bacon Street after walking home from Winston’s, one night last weekend. A $500 award has been posted for information.
The victim was walking home around 1:30 – 2am between Niagara and Narragansett. He was savagely attacked by three white males in their 20’s who kicked him repeated in the face. So far, the only description available is 3 white males , with medium height and build, with short haircuts, and one of the three being a bit shorter than the other two.
Friends of the victim are posting a $500 cash reward to anyone who can provide information leading to the arrest and conviction of any one of the 3 perpetrators. Anyone who may have witnessed the attack is also asked to please help provide any information they may have about what they saw. Respondents may remain anonymous but must provide instructions on how to deliver reward.

This IS being tolerated because it happens all the time. OB has become a slum by the sea.
Sorry, I do hope they find these turds. I was attacked a week ago for no reason as well so I am a little sour.

Thank you very much for posting this to your site. You asked about the status of the victim so I wanted to share that with you:
His condition is stable; his face is fractured in 3 places as is his nose. As of Sunday evening; his eyes were swollen shut and he couldn’t see very well. So far CAT scan shows negative for brain injuries and we are keeping our fingers crossed that there isn’t any permanent injuries in that regard but the doctors still need to run additional tests. They released him from the hospital late Sunday but he will have to undergo more testing and doctors’ visits.
What sucks the most is that he is a new father with a 6 month old baby at home; just moved into a new house. He is a self-employed professional so there is no workers compensation or disability for him to be on while he recovers. That is what drives me the most right now. This is going to affect his family financially in a big way right now.
At any rate; I will definitely keep you in the loop with any developments that may come up. Your help is greatly appreciated and I sincerely thank you.

That is sad. I hope he makes a complete and speedy recovery. No matter what the circumstances, this is unacceptable. Let’s all be diligent and keep an eye out for each other in OB.
If this guy was hanging at Winston’s that night, maybe Winston’s could do a fund raiser to help him pay for his medical bills…..it would certainly draw community support and help out the victim.
I would Donate to it. I feel bad for the guy and its also sad that OB isnt a place to raise kids anymore. I grew up there and just had to move cuz like someone else said it has turned into a SLUM.
Our family is going to be leaving OB as well.. Lots of fights and angry people walking around.Not the way it used to be at all.Seems this generation can’t party peacefully.A shame what this place is becoming.
