I agree Dave. I would have liked to see Turko’s take on this issue. I think he digs a little deeper and gets more facts/details about the stories he reports on. This just looked like a shouting match on the streets of OB. Not very professional. However, Jefe did look like a deer in headlights. Kinda funny….
What happened last night? We watched – I thought – the entire news on ch. 6 from 10 to 10:30 and didn’t see it.

And you’re right, Dave and Jon, Turko does dig deeper. Turko came out to OB and talked to Jean Vavra, but at least one vendor who was going to talk to Turko was “persuaded” by Jefe and Co. not to talk to him.
The shouting match and swearing was one sided. The ONLY one who raised a voice or swore was jeff fagan..he used the F word often…….the property owner was going to call the police because a camera was pointed into the courtyard of the new location of RPS ….he needs to check with a lawyer before he does that….the camera was on public property….what the heck is so secretive in OB anyway???? it makes you wonder.
This is not about Turko getting anything or digging deeper or finding anything out. This is about Jeff”s irresposibility, his unkindness to those who trusted him. The “facts” are clear and obvious. Jeff closed the shop in one day. He wrote bad checks to many people in Dec. He kept ALL of the vndor’s money for January and walked away with everyone’s deposits. After coming back from a “buying ” trip to Thailand, he now is ready to stock his business with his new merchandise. He did NOT declare bankruptcy. Ths in NOT about a bad economy. What happened at RPS was not because business was too slow. The facts are clear – everyone has their report sheets to show how much they are owed (for January) how much their deposits were(when they moved in) and how many checks they have that did not clear. Jeff is clueless as to how he has harmed so many people over and over. He acts like HE is the one who was abused. It does not take deep digging to find out what happened at RPS. It is not a puzzle. It is not a mystery. It is instead, very sad – not for Jeff Fagan – he is the perp… but instead it is sad for all the vendors, for all the people who worked there and were told they were out of a job in one day and for Roots who pinned their wagon to his tainted star. Seeing Jeff Fagan on TV is a wonderful reminder of who he really is… All that any of us really ask is for OB to see this person for exactly as he is. This is long overdue.
How he shows his face in OB the town of the fair open minded peace loving is a mystery.
Maybe we should show him the same courtesy we have shown Starbucks over the years. Be that brick, shit, or words, something needs to be thrown at that business because what he did is very very wrong.

I couldn’t disagree more Ryan. I know everyone is upset over this issue, but what do you think you would solve by vandalizing an abandoned store-front? Unless you mean throwing stuff through his new shop which still doesn’t solve anything. In fact, the minute someone does that, it defeats the entire purpose and makes Jeff the victim. Violence is never the answer. If you really feel like throwing feces around, throw it at one of the low-life taggers vandalizing the now empty RPS store. They deserve it. These vendors will hopefully have their day in court and be able exercise your third option, words.
To just a vendor: I agree!! Jeff needs to be seen as whom he really is!! A liar, a crook, and an “in it for himself, not the community” person. He spent the money on his trips, at the bar(see him often), and on drugs. I hate tweekers!! He is a disgrace to our community.
