On Tuesday, September 27th 2011,   approximately 25 distressed homeowners,  Representative Bob Filner, a San Diego Council member, and  members of MoveOn.org  rallied to protest the alleged crimes associated  with PREDATORY LENDING and MORTGAGE fraud perpetrated by HomeEquity Funding Corporation.

The protest took place in the street in front of Peter Scognamillo’s Del Mar home. Scognamillo is Owner and CEO of HomeEquity Funding Corporation.

Representative Filner approached Scognamillo’s front door,  he opened the door, but refused to comment.  The group was energized when our aspiring San Diego Mayor (Bob Filner)  shouted,  “WE WILL NOT QUIT UNTIL WE GET JUSTICE.”

If you are or have been a victim of Predatory Lending Practices from this company, please contact Ismael Rodriguez at (619) 646-0076.

Finally, a newspaper willing to publish the wrong doing of these crooks, we (main street) ARE BEING HARASSED AND DRAIN FROM the crooks on Wall Street and their croonies. Thanks for reporting true journalism.

What newspaper? i want to read the copy ?

Jim Lang October 2, 2011 at 3:25 pm

Wally……. This has nothing to do with Wallstreet. Your confused. This is about an honest company, and honest man, who is having his name trashed by criminals, who practiced Real Estate in an unscrupulous manner. The documents signed, and the court cases settled, are all documented. It’s real simple Wally. This is not rocket science.

Bob Filner has a long history of fighting for the rights of main stree, he is definitely the “right” man/person for San Diego Mayor.

Jim Lang October 2, 2011 at 3:27 pm

Bob Filner was there for photo opps. He doesn’t know anything about these plaintiffs… If he did, he would not have attended. He would have gone to Jack-in-the-Box for a Jumbo Jack with Cheese. Only $2.04. good deal!

Thanks Bob Filner!
Where are all of the other elected officials in this town? We elect them to protect and serve, yet few have offered to come to the aid of distressed homeowners. Qudos to the Dallas D.A. for filing a complaint against MERS for an estimated 2.8 billion dollars they failed to pay in transfer taxes. The Nevada Attorney General has now gone after WFB for fraud and forgery of documents. It remains to be seen if anyone here will take up the mantel to do what they were elected to do.

FYI: Be sure to watch “INSIDE JOB”

>>>SORRY FOR THE TYE O’S ABOVE I WAS MAD AT THE UNTRUTHFULNESS OF THE ATICLE AND JUST BANGED IT OUT. HERE IS AN EASIER READ>THIS IS ABSOLUTE GARBAGE. I HAVE KNOW PETER FOR OVER 14 YEARS AND HE IS ONE OF THE MOST HONEST PEOPLE I I KNOW. HOME EQUITY FUNDING, FOR MANY YEARS NOW, HAS DELT EXCLUSIVELY WITH SMALLTIME INVESTORS SUCH AS MYSELF, SO THERE IS NO IGNORANT FOOLS BEING TAKEN ADVANTAGE HERE. PETER HELPS PEOPLE LIKE ME BUY HOMES THAT HAVE BEEN TRASHED BY THE FORMER BORROWER AND FORECLOSED ON BY THE BANKS AFTER THE FORMER OWNER GOT A FREE RIDE FOR USALLY WELL OVER A YEAR WITHOUT MAKING THE PAYMENTS. PETER HAS HELPED SMALL INVESTORS WITH SMALL RESERVES SUCH AS MYSELF ACHIVE SUCCUSS. WITHOUT HIM AND OTHER SMALL TIME LOAN COMPANIES TAKING A CHANCE ON PEOPLE LIKE ME, I WOULD NOT HAVE HAD THE SUCCESSES I HAVE HAD OVER THE YEARS, NOR WOULD I HAVE BEEN ABLE TO HELP MY FAMILY LIKE I HAVE. THANK YOU PETER AND HOME EQUITY FUNDING FOR YOUR HELP IN MY SUCCESS. AGAIN HOME EQUITY ONLY LENDS TO SMALL INVESTORS, NOT TYPICAL HOMEOWNERS. I KNOW BOB FILER HAS NEVER BEEN VERY SMART OR “WITH IT”, BUT I NEVER THOUGHT OF HIM AS DISHONORABLE; VERY DISAPPOINTING. SIGNED, SMALL BUILDER/INVSTOR

You are blessed to have such a wonderful relationship with a person that has stolen from others. I suggest that you personally contact Mr. Navarro, Mr. Rodriguez, Mr. Thomas, Mrs. Franklin and others that weren’t as fortunate as you. There is TRUTH to their stories as well. They need your help to convince Peter to come clean with them. Will you help them?

Mr. Rodriguez: if you read my comment above, I think it is correct.
Jack-in-the-box has the Jumbo Jack with cheese for $2.04 cents. that is including tax: look into it. good luck

Jim Lang October 2, 2011 at 3:18 pm

Yes Gloria: Mr. Thomas is a “class act.” That’s why he left Gonzalez Life work of Music compositions in the property and simply “left.” And how would I know this..?? Because I am the one who saved her “life work” in my storage area, and have made the appropriate attempts to contact her family…. yeh, right Gloria… why don’t you get your story straight before you start defending people who don’t give a crap about anyone but themselves…!

ismael rodriguez October 2, 2011 at 2:43 pm

PETER SCOGNAMILLO NEVER HELP NO ONE HE JUST TOOK ADVANTAGE OF THE PEOPLE HE MADE SO MUCH MONEY OF THE INNOCENT PEOPLE CHARGING A VERY HIGH INTEREST AND TAKING AWAY THERE PROPERTIES……I WOULD LIKE TO THANK BOB FILNER THE CONGRESS FOR SUPPORTING THE COMMUNITY AND HOPING HE WILL BE OUR NEXT MAJOR OF SAN DIEGO…. Jim Lang October 2, 2011 at 3:11 pm

Bravo Bert! Thank you for speaking the truth…!

ismael rodriguez October 2, 2011 at 3:33 pm

he is not helping the people getting a loan he wants properties owners to put there home in collateral so he can give them a loan but there home have to be free and clear so he could give them a loan he is a crook….

Jim Lang October 2, 2011 at 4:11 pm

Please read above regarding “Jumbo Jack with Cheese”

Jim Lang October 1, 2011 at 12:44 pm

It is interesting. Wana-be investors gamble with the property of they’re families, because they want to be a “big shot” in Real Estate. And when the market crashes, they look for a scape goat…………like………….”Lenders”?? Everyone drank the magic potion in 03,04,05,06. Next time, don’t put up your properties unless you have the cash to pay. As far as Mr. Filner goes……?? Maybe he should do his research before he joins protestors who have no facts to base their claims….. but, what more could we expect from a politician..?? nothing. A chance to get in front of the camera for his own personal gain….. nothing more, nothing less.

ismael rodriguez October 2, 2011 at 2:34 pm

jim lang is an employee for peter scognamillo, so he is trying to cover up for peter scognamillo homequity funding and i am suggesting that the district attorney will investigate them… i wanna thank bob filner the congressman for supporting all the community against the predator lender and hoping soon we will have justice because homequity funding is a crook and there are many victims that had been taking advantage all over the logan heights, sherman heights, shell town, and other areas… so were asking for justice…………………..

ismael rodriguez October 2, 2011 at 3:35 pm

jim you keep supporting peter and remember you dont like him very much how much is he paying you to cover for him remember we will have justice

Carol z October 2, 2011 at 12:21 am

So Peter is an “honest” debt buyer?

Jim Lang October 2, 2011 at 3:15 pm

What do you mean, “Debt buyer”? A company that gives loans is a “debt buyer”?
What business degree to you have? Please clarify because your boring everyone.

Jerry Malamud October 2, 2011 at 1:45 pm

And Thank you again, Bob Filner!
This is exactly why we kept sending you back to Congress, you are willing to stand up, speak your mind and fight for the oppressed. We will now elect you Mayor and hopefully you will be able to make San Diego “America’s Finest City” again. We’ve got your back and are ready to help you do just that!

Comments on this this article have degraded to the point where we have concern trolls extolling the merits of Jumbo Jacks? Enough is enough.
