In the past weeks, American citizens have made it known in countless polls that they don’t want anyone to mess with their Social Security, their Medicare or Medicaid. And the majority of us have also said that it is about time to make the wealthiest among us to pay their fair share of taxes.

So why are we enmeshed in a months long debate about the friggin debt ceiling, which in the words of Jefferson Airplane, doesn’t mean shit to a tree (or the citizenry)?

We are enmeshed in this debate because it is one more opportunity to question the legitimacy of the Obama presidency; it is one more opportunity for his “Waterloo”; and it is one more opportunity to assure that Obama is a one term president. Thus spake the Republican Party with a side of Tea and a nod from the Trumpster for good measure…

The lame republicans have spent seven months now without a single job created, but they DO have their big government hands firmly inserted in every woman’s uterus—for our own good of course.

Republicans are hell bent for leather on showing that government is broken—by breaking it.

The question is whether we and the Democratic Party will let them.

GOD forbit they cut into the $ multi-Trillion dollar $+ Military-Industrial-Congressional-Complex War budget.

They’d rather cut into seniors, the poor, the disabled, etc.

What “compassionate, genius, representatives.”

Anna, thank you for saying what millions of individuals are thinking. the hording greed of the elite on the backs of the workers must end. can not everyone see that the Tea Bag Emperor is naked? why are these individuals allowed to remain in positions of power when they only intend to drain this country into collapse to line their own pockets? where is the uprising? where are those with the voice of truth who will speak for those of us deemed ‘of too little consequence’ to speak? while i realize i will never be invited to washington to speak up for myself and those whos lives have been ruined in this political game, i hold hope that the Truth will prevail. let’s just hope it prevails before i run out of daily luxuries like food and toilet paper again this month.
