Tomorrow morning I will be attending a webinar. Well, my brain will be attending, the rest of me will be where it always is in the morning, right here in my desk chair. The webinar has to do with “Search Engine Optimization” or SEO. Wikipedia says, “SEO is the process of improving the visibility of a website or a web page in search engines via the “natural” or un-paid (“organic” or “algorithmic”) search results.”
The webinar, or site clinic as they are calling it, will be hosted by some respected web ninjas. Among them is Chris Pearson, the founder of DIYThemes.com and the geek responsible for the Thesis Theme, the basis for the overall look of the OB Rag.
It should be real interesting. In a way I could not explain to you if you’re not already green with envy. Part of the clinic is going to be the review of the SEO of three sites, chosen among the sites of the clinic attendees.
I have always felt that the search engines have been pretty good to us, and things seem to have gotten better lately. Google News is picking us up on a regular basis, and we’re ranking well for some articles that have gained national attention. We’re doing something right, but what exactly is it? Can we, through better SEO, reach a larger audience? We can hope and if the SEO experts take a look at the OB Rag tomorrow morning they can give us some advice! In any case I look forward to learning more than a few things tomorrow.

You are waaay too modest–come on Patty, brag a little bit, already. If this was the UT, we’d have the banner up saying “Over A Million” page views, lol. The fact is that we have amazing stats for a mostly volunteer blog. And it’s thanks to your great efforts.

Not knowing much about ALGOL etc. I’ll try to help in some way. I do have a big mouth and will put it to work for the Rag. I was just unsure if we were in the soliciting business or not.Thanks for giving me an idea.
