Falling Sky Pottery Commits to Donations for 2 Weeks – Dec. 7 – 21
OCEAN BEACH, CA. OB Rag has been contacted by a local Ocean Beach business, the Falling Sky Pottery, who has told us that for two weeks, from December 7 to December 21, it will donate 5% of its sales to the OB Library. Izzy Elizondo, the owner of the pottery store, located at 1951 B Abbott St, across from the main life guard tower, feel very strongly that we need to keep the OB library open. As a business owner and part of the community Izzy wants to do what he can to help.
The people at Falling Sky hope their effort will be followed by other businesses in Ocean Beach. Their donations would not only show how much all of the community supports the library, but they think it would be impressive to the city council — local businesseswilling to put monies into our local libraries. We at the OB Blog say: “right on! Shop locally and check out the Falling Sky Pottery !”
To show support for the Ocean Beach Library, Falling Sky Pottery will make a donation to the Ocean Beach Library equal to 5% of all sales from December 7 through December 21. Falling Sky Pottery is located at 1951 B Abbott St, across from the main life guard tower.

Yes! This is what I am talking about ! I wonder if they saw my rant on the other post about how OB businesses had NOT stepped up to the plate like other businesses had for their different libraries. great. thank you.
This is significant, wonderful support from the business community! Remember, our businesses are feeling the pinch too. Those donations will be matched by the city if they are given to the Friends of the OB library. For every dollar donated, there is a dollar of match! Thank you Falling Sky Pottery.
I don’t DO xmas anymore, but I for SURE will buy a little something from Falling Sky, AND let them know WHY! (besides, their stuff is very cool) Thanks Falling Sky….
My mother and I will match the funds donated by Falling Sky to the Friends of the Ocean Beach Library. We cannot let this precious resource be taken from our community simply to pay a bunch of crooked politicians’ pensions.
We challenge anyone who is able to step up to the plate and match our contribution!
