A candlelight vigil for peace was held on Shelter Island on Tuesday evening, as 80 plus San Diegans sang and prayed for peace with North Korea.
The citizens gathered at the Japanese Friendship Bell park, across from North Island, just as President Trump was speaking to the South Korean parliament. They prayed for the wellbeing of families in Korea, Japan, Guam and Hawaii that live under threat of a nuclear attack.

Special prayers wished peace and safety for the tens of thousands of Americans serving in Korea and Japan, and for those with the 3 Carrier Strike Groups in the region, including our San Diego-based Carl Vinson group.
Ministers, veterans and other citizens called on our leaders to do everything possible to prevent war, especially a nuclear exchange. The president of the Council on Foreign Relations estimates the chances of war with North Korea are now 50/50.
The vigil was sponsored by San Diego County Indivisible and Interfaith Worker Justice San Diego.

Great to see Trump bring together the Peace movement. Something that should have happened under the Obama regime which aided ISIS as proxy in war crimes against Libya and Syria people.
Wanted to be there but had to make dinner for the house. Gracias to those who did go.
