The Women’s Museum of California is holding its 12th annual Suffrage Parade Saturday August 26th, in Balboa Park.
The parade will begin at 4 pm. People will be gathering in the lawn area by the Hall of Nations in Balboa Park (across from the Organ Pavilion).
The Suffrage Parade will be celebrating Women’s Equality Day.
There will be enactments of the Suffragists from the First Wave of Feminism.
— Susan B. Anthony, Elizabeth Cady Stanton, Sojourner Truth, Carrie Chapman Catt, Ellen Browning Scripps, Harriet Tubman, Alice Paul, and Eleanor Roosevelt.
Don your suffrage hat and a long skirt (to look like a suffragist). And wave your women equality signs in the rally and parade!!
